Who are your ideal customers? What do they read, eat and enjoy doing? Where are you most likely to find them? Why should they buy your product/service? As business owners we should have a well drawn out map of who our customers really are. This should include every little bit of information you can find out about them. The better you know the customer, the easier it will be for you to sell something to them. One needs to start leveraging technology, as also all the tools at our disposal, to begin this process as soon as possible.

The fact of the matter is, that without customers there will be no revenue, and as a result, business will not be viable. Money provides the lifeblood of any business venture. In order to generate these flows we need to put ourselves out there and actively look for the people we want to sell our product/services to. No amount of brainstorming and strategizing will ever replace personal networking and selling. If you do not place yourself in front of your prospects, how will you ever get to know who your customer really is.

Every day wasted without making progress towards identifying and pitching to your prospects, is a day lost. Time is money, and it is usually in very limited supply in the early stages of a business. The longer you wait for things to happen rather than making them happen, the sooner you will run out of air.
